Inferior torque converter designs can slip excessively, causing the oil to foam and boil, and the front cover to "balloon" even rupture. But BD's torque converter was specifically designed to handle the kind of punishment you dish out.
BD offers three different torque converter options:
BD torque converters feature exclusive performance cast aluminum stators that improve efficiency and durability for better response in stock to higher horsepower applications. Each BD-engineered torque converter features a stamp-forged steel front cover, furnace-brazed fins, billet steel piston, hardened piston seal bore, improved friction lining and steel Torrington needle bearings which replace plastic thrust washers. Tested to 1,000 lbft crank torque!
BD offers three different torque converter options:
- Enhanced Stall
- Low Stall (Designed for higher horsepower daily driven or tow vehicles)
- High Stall (Designed for higher horsepower race or hot-rod street applications)
