Looking to improve the ride quality of your truck but not take away from the payload capacity? Air bags are an option and have many benefits but with that come complexity and cost. A simpler solution is to use an Add-A-Pack. Not to be confused with an Add-A-Leaf which ADDS leafs to your current pack and increase the tension/arch to GAIN more capacity and lift, the Add-A-Pack simply replaces your factory lower overload leaf making your spring pack more progressive. By making the spring pack more progressive, it's able to better dissipate shock loads through the suspension. Improved ride quality is achieved by helping take the edge off of large potholes and dips while smoothing out small chatter on the road.
The 5 leaf add-a-pack will provide 1" of rear lift and is perfectly suited to help level out trucks with 3" of lift in the front of their truck. Additionally, you can fine tune your lift height by add/removing the spacer leafs that are bolted to the factory pack. Most people opt to leave these in for a leveled look with a 3" kit but if you have a 2" front leveling kit, removing the two or three small factory spacer leafs can help achieve a truly level stance.
