Recent global supply and facility changes has resulted in EBC needing to move with those changes. EBC has been very careful as they move forward. As a result, EBC is in the process of phasing out rotors with the black finish, therefore you might receive rotors without it. The following image shows EBC's transition from Gen-1 thru Gen-3 brake rotors and finishes.
