Leaks at the thermostat housing on 7.3L Powerstrokes are not uncommon. The factory housing will flex when tightened down unevenly. This reinforcement ring will aid in more evenly distributing the load on the housing and it's sealing o-ring. This kit works equally well on the 94-97 and the 99-03 engines.
