This wiring harness includes a Fuel Pump Controller as well as an oil pressure switch to operate like the PCM controlled pump in the later Super Duty trucks. The controller is designed to run the fuel pump for 20 seconds at "key on" to get the fuel system primed. If the engine is started within that time, the oil pressure switch will keep the pump running. If the engine is not started within 20 seconds, the controller will shut the pump down so it doesn't stay running.
