With the release of the 2013 Cummins and 2014 EcoDiesels, a major issue with these trucks was made apparent.

Ram made a switch to a flapper style fuel cap as opposed to the long standing screw on cap used for years. While the flapper may provide for ease of quick fill ups, it also lends itself to allowing for dust and debris build up that only allows one spot for that debris to go when you fill up.....right into your fuel tank!

While many companies have released their own version of a press on fuel cap, the crew at BD came out with something truly unique, the Patriot Plug! This cap allows you to insert six spent 9mm casings (not included) into the cap too give you that six-shooter look. Not only will this look cool each time you open your fuel door, but protect your fuel system from dust and debris getting to your injectors and injection pump. As an added bonus, the cap doubles as a bottle opener to help you cool off after a long day on the road.
