The Story

Banks 5" aluminized steel constant-diameter DPF-back exhaust system features a patented negative backpressure SideKick tip. This innovative design enhances throttle response and fuel economy by reducing backpressure by up to 9% at the turbine inlet, enabling the engine to exhale more efficiently. The system comes complete with a large chrome obround SideKick tip, adding to both the performance and aesthetic appeal.

The new 5" Monster Exhaust designed specifically for the 2019-2024 Ram 2500/3500 6.7L. The DPF-back exhaust system features constant-diameter 5" mandrel-bent aluminized steel tubing and a massive patented tip which virtually eliminates backpressure after the DPF.

OB-ROUND SLASH-CUT EXHAUST TIP

Banks huge 6.5 x 7.5-inch ob-round slash-cut exhaust tips are designed not only for performance but to look good too.Featuring a premium rolled lip, drain hole for condensation, and a chrome-plated polished stainless steel finish that will not turn brown with heat unlike other brands. The patented obround Side-Kick tip is designed to eject hot exhaust gases out to the side and away from the vehicle. With a 1" Air Gap around the tip, your exhaust won't damage or melt your bumper or trailer while still looking great even from far away.

MONSTER EXHAUST SYSTEM

The factory RAM exhaust uses several different sizes of pipe that are MIG welded together. This mismatch of pipe sizing and abrupt bends adds resistance to the exhaust system.By comparison, the Banks 5in Monster-Exhaust system is mandrel bent with a smooth constant inner diameter. Exhaust gas scavenging is maintained from tip through the DPF outlet.

NEGATIVE EXHAUST PRESSURE

Banks patented negative back-pressure tip virtually eliminates back-pressure after the DPF. With a side-draft rocket nozzle-like tip, exhaust gasses are literally sucked out of the end of the exhaust. With pressure sensors installed, this negative exhaust pressure resulted in an impressive 9% reduction all the way back to the turbine inlet.
