The original plastic fuel filter cap on your L5P Duramax is susceptible to rounding off when replacing the water separator. Also, the plastic can crack during extreme cold weather conditions. To solve these problems, the FASS cap is made with 6061 billet aluminum. It uses the same 36mm socket for removal and is equipped with a drain valve for tool-free draining!
