When building a high horsepower 6.6L LBZ or LMM Duramax, the factory main bolts can only handle so much power. Factory bolts can stretch and cause what's called main cap walk or loss of torque. Both these conditions can contribute to major engine issues. The Gator Heavy Duty Main Studs eliminate these issues and add strength to the bottom end of your engine. These main studs are designed for stock to performance built engines and feature tensile strength over 220,000psi. Each stud has rolled threads and are constructed from 8740 steel with an added proprietary element for the ultimate in durability and strength. Nothing bites like a Gator!
