While most are familiar with the unpleasant task of having to replace ball joints on their 2001-2010 Chevy or GMC truck, in many instances, the entire lower control arm where the lower ball joint is located should also be replaced. Over time, the hole where the ball joint is located can become worn out, now allowing even a fresh, brand new ball joint to sit securely in place. Further the control arm bushings that allow the arm to rotate up and down smoothly also become worn out over time and need to be replaced. This new passenger side (right) lower control arm from Mevotech is a complete assembly that allows you to breathe some fresh life back into your truck for a tight, rattle-free front end. The included Supreme Parts ball joint offer an increased ball stud diameter and greasable design which delivers a tighter fit at the ball pin for a more exact fit and an extended service life.
