With the 3.0L EcoDiesels, Mopar changed things up with the transmission filter. They are now built into the transmission pan. Even though they have a built in drain plug for simple maintenance, when it comes time to do bigger jobs, you'll need to replace your pan and filter as they are now one unit. The new pan/filter combo comes with all new hardware and drain plug making your servicing very straight forward.
