When using a deep sump transmission pan in your 5.9L Cummins, you must use a filter spacer block to allow for proper transmission fluid filtration and operation. Most competitors use filter spacers that do not create a leak free seal between the spacer block and the transmission causing the transmission to be starved for fluid and or air to be introduced into the system. This filter spacer from PPE features a Viton O-ring seal that creates a leak free seal. This spacer can be used a as replacement for PPE transmission pans or used in other aftermarket transmission pans.
